About Me

I'm a college student right now, studying Computer Science. However, my dream is to become an Anime producer (that is, I want to be a part of the teams that make Anime, whether it be working on editing, mixing, directing, voicing, etc., I'm not sure yet, but that's something I'll be figuring out in the next few years). I'm also taking Japanese classes too (SO MUCH FUN!), and I plan on studying abroad to Japan later on in my undergrad studies.

That said, my current hobbies include drawing (in various popular Japanese manga styles of course), playing guitar, and sports (soccer, volleyball, Frisbee, etc.) As for drawing manga, I don't pretend to be great at it, but I will say that I have some talent (skill and talent are two different things). My main reason for drawing is because it's fun, but the secondary reason is so that I can train myself to see and think in this style of art (and honestly, I love how it looks, it must be the tiny bit of Japanese blood I get from my grandmother).

I actually joined this website for the wallpapers (I won't lie ^^). Little did I know there was a limit, so it looks like I'll be making some wallpapers of my own. Fortunately, I have quite a bit of experience in multimedia production (2D graphics editing and processing, Video editing and production, 3D modeling, and some audio editing). My background actually comes from doing some digital coloring work for my high school drafting instructor, and that led to hobbies of graphics processing (basically, I helped people edit wallpapers and avatars), so I'm sure I could do some experimentation with anime... just give me a few scans, and I'll be throwing stuff out there in no time.

I guess you've figured out by now that I'm pretty big on anime. However, I'm not quite what you would think as a hardcore anime guy. I just have this special connection/attachment to Japanese manga that gives me this feeling of belonging, which brought me to make the tough decision to make it my career (and yes, it was tough, especially with my roommate constantly telling me that it's "impossible" and my parents complaining about how there's no money in the arts). I'll watch pretty much anything that's made with Japanese art and at least sort of like it. Personally, though, I prefer anime with really interesting stories and have a little bit of everything (humor, action, not so much romance but a little is okay...), and especially funny random ones too (Pani Poni Dash! and Lucky Star). But, yeah, I'll watch practically everything.
The other thing I'm big on is videogames... ... yeah...
